Critics and crowds are useful, but the question that actually decides a movie night is: what did my friends think? The friends score is simply the average of your own rating and the ratings of all your friends, rounded to half stars. Nothing else goes in.
what counts
your rating – the stars you give when you move a title to your log.
your friends’ ratings – the stars each friend gave the same title in their own log. Every rating counts
the same, no weighting.
Until you have friends, the friends score is just your own rating. Titles nobody rated yet show empty stars
and a dash.
platform ratings
IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic stay visible as the small pills on every card and in the detail view, so you still see what critics and crowds think. They are not mixed into the friends score.
sorting and filtering
“friends” is the default sort. Titles with a score come first (highest first), titles without one keep their order by date added. The “ratings” filter lets you limit the list to a friends-score range.
